Does the Creative have gapless playback? The only reason I'd stick with I-Pod whenever my current one gives out (hopefully not for a long time)is the gapless playback option their new software has, allowing me to listen to shows without the annoying silent break between tracks. If a less expensive player is out there with the same feature, I would most certainly look into it for my next player. Thanks in advance for the info.

do you mean the Creative Zen V -or can you tell me the exact model that has the gapless option? Can it play the high quality 1441 kbs wave or are you talking MP3?

I have no idea which model, if any, has gapless playback. I'm just throwing the question out there to see which models from ANY manufacturer have this feature. Since I have only owned an Ipod, this is the only one I am familiar with.

My model only plays mp3 or wma,and has no gapless feature...but like I said I am a cheap ass and I wanted cheap to carry rain or shine, since I run regardless the weather.Creative does have models with wave play options...works good for my needs. If I wanted the best to carry I guess I would go with Ipod...or maybe IRiver players.

Maybe the folks here could pass the hat and get you one for X-Mas (or whichever non-denominational seasonal observance youmay subscribe to). I, too, am a "cheap ass" and held off for quite some time, but my wife surprised me with one for my last birthday. Thanks to the huge popularity of the thing, there are countless doo-dads to go with it, one that I have used and truly like, is a waterproof jacket that attaches to your arm (or waist if you prefer). Allows for easy portability while jogging, biking, hiking, whatever. Regardless of make, model, or manufacturer, these things are the best thing to happen to bootlegs since the invention of home recording.
